Died: 1880 at Wine Hill, Illinois of “Apoplepsy”

buried at St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church at Wine Hill (death listed as 12/1880)

Farmer near Ava, Illinois, located at Kincaid creek. The old house burnt down. He had rented it out.

A doctor lives there now.

Children: Clara Davis, Sophia Kessel, Josephine Bower, Hattie Reeves, John

Lived with Sophia after Nancy died (according to Fern Brown)

Died February 2nd , 1943 in Ava, Illinois.

They met because Nancy was working as a servant girl somewhere.

Died October 5th, 1935 in Ava, Illinois

Louis Weissgerber

Born: Feb. 22, 1859 at Powhatton Point, OH

Father: Friedrich Ferdinand Weissgerber

Mother: Caroline Sophia Weissgerber

Married: Katherine Peil, May 26, 1889, at Golden, IL

Children: Fred F. (moved to Boone, IA), Elizabeth “Lily” Doze of (Humeston, IA) and Caroline Barnett

Lived at Golden, IL, until 1907 when they moved to Keosaugua. Here he was a baker for some time (see obit). Towards the end of his life, when his health failed, he took up another business (check 1920 census for occupation).

Died: April 14, 1929

Obit: Keosauqua Republic, Thursday, Apr. 25, 1929

Buried: Purdom Cemetery, Van Buren County, Iowa (near Keosauqua)
